December Memories Blog Hop with Gossamer Blue

Welcome, welcome!!! I am so very excited, today is Gossamer Blue blog hop to feature the amazing December Memories kit. I will share with you today my process for completing my December Memories album.

Here's a full list of the Creative Team members that are participating in this hop, in case you just joined us, I'd suggest you start at the beginning, these talented girls have amazing projects to share with you!

When I first received the kit I was blown away at the amazing gold and white album and endless amount of embellishments. Of course I had to pull everything out and see what would be in of my album.

First thing first, my cover. I had seen many covers with beautiful clusters of embellishments, I knew I had to create a small but lovely accent that would showcase the year of my album. I was thrilled to see the doilies and the velum diecuts, those were ideal for my base.

The kit came with a beautiful cover page, I really wanted to use it and didn't want to make many adjustments, it's already so pretty! I simply added sequins and a stamped sentiment. This page really makes me happy and sets the tone, simple yet fun, for my album.

I knew if I wanted to complete this album I had to keep it simple, I didn't want to over do it and lose interest or energy half way through. So I decided to prep one week at a time, with an idea of what was going to happen during the first week, I made sure to document those events and leaving "floater" days for whatever happened.  Starting with December 1st was easy, because I knew that our Elf would be joining us again. So I made sure to leave to empty 3x4 slots for pictures of Elf and the girls.

Next up are floater days, in this case I added more cards and left one for journaling and one slot for a picture of the day. I do think that December 2nd will be dedicated to our tree, but again I'm waiting to see if something else comes and I will adjust accordingly. The beautiful gold and white paper envelope will be used to store cards and other bits and pieces that we collect.

Days 6 and 7 are over the weekend and we have events planned for both days. I made sure to leave plenty of space for pictures and journaling on day 6. As for day 7, it's an important birthday, even though it is not a Christmas event, I will still include it in the album.

Now it's time for full disclosure (maybe I should have done that at the beginning LOL), this will be my first year doing a full December Memories album and I am so very excited. Make sure to follow me on Instagram as I will be sharing information on my album process on a daily basis. Now keep on hopping and visit Naomi Atkins
