Well, I think it's pretty evident that Christmas is just around the corner and will be here before we know it. I was drooling over the Fancy Pants Oh Deer collection and knew I had to put everything aside to create a fun layout. I just love how Fancy Pants always offers coordinating tags with their collections, I love using tags, so it was a no brainer to incorporate one on this layout, in fact I love it so much that I decided to make it the focus of my layout. This layout is created for Fancy Pants as member of the Social Media team.

Moon & Back
Hello friends!! Feels like I haven't posted in a long time, I'm happy to share a layout I created a little while back and thought it was time I share it. I used Maggie Holmes latest collection for Crate Paper, I really like the gold accents in this collection, the horse was just too cute to pass up. I love this cute picture of Brianna, it's hard to believe that this was one year ago.
I'm all over the frame trends, I love to layer them, add embellishments, journaling, etc… I wanted the frames to be the highlight of my layout, to help showcase the adorable accents that complement the picture of Alexia. It's such a fun and playful picture of her, I really wanted to achieve this with the layout as well.

Memories with Jillibean Soup
Hello friends! It's been a crazy busy week and I've neglected my blog but I'm so happy to be back again today to share this layout I created for Jillibean Soup. I just love the new 12x12 placemats, this one features lots of adorable saying, of course I had to use it for a lo about Dan and I.
I decided to use a bright teal paper to really make the phrase stand out, to make an even bigger contrast I used yellow wash tape under some of the phrases. I didn't want to hide too much of the sayings so I used a very small picture and kept the embellishments to a minimum. These placemats have to be one of my fave Jillibean Soup items!!!

Sweet Rose
Hello friends. I'm back today to share a quick just for fun layout. What's to say about this, layers and more layers, clouds as my anchor for my title and fun wood veneer throughout. Sometimes there's isn't much to say about a layout.

Always
Happy Monday friends, hope you had a beautiful weekend. I did have a bit of time to create so I played, just for fun and made this sweet layout of my girl. Love the little kitten card from the October Afternoon collection, I really wanted to use it to add a bit more "sweetness" to this layout. I'm really loving the soft colour palettes lately, the soft pinks and yellows were just right for this picture of Bri.

Hello Winter with Hip Kit
I still have a couple of layouts that I created with my final kit from Hip Kit, today I'm sharing this fun layout of Danika which features the Amy Tangerine chipboard shapes included in the kit. I wanted the chipboard to be the focus of my layout, I decided to use the embossing powder from the add-on kit to cover the speech bubbles. The border at the bottom of the layout is the glitter AC ribbon, my new favourite scrappy addiction, seriously could use that stuff on everything!

Hello Today with Jillibean Soup
It's a birthday kinda day with Jillibean Soup and the new Birthday Bisque collection! This collection is all about fun from patterns to fabulous diectus, I just had to use it with this lovely picture of B on her 5th birthday.
As you can see I love the Jillibean Soup placemats, I used a strip to the side and then I embellished the circles with various items from the collection. I also added words using one of the new stamp set.
Last but not least, the new Beanboard Alphas! They are fabulous like chipboard letters but thinner, so you get the look of chipboard without the bulk, which means you can easily staple or sew on the letters to your projects.

Happy Memory with Heidi Swapp
I think it goes without saying that many of us scrappers have fallen in love with Heidi Swapp latest collection available at Michael's. I was very excited to walk in my local M's a couple of weeks ago to discover they had the full collection, major score!!! Of course I had to get a couple of pieces and create a layout right away.
I really enjoy working with a soft colour palette, the mint green and pinks are so beautiful together. They really complimented this picture of the girls. The diecut honeycomb pieces were just the right size to pair with the Studio Calico honeycomb mask.

Always Be Me with 2Peas in a Bucket
Hello friends! This past Saturday I was sharing a project on 2Peas, this month's theme is ME. Too often we scrapbook about the people we love, we might overlook one important person, YOU. The GGs are bringing you a lot of projects that will hopefully inspire you to create layouts about YOU because you should be in your albums. Your kids, family, loved ones need to know about you as well.
Hope you will stop by to see my full project!

CHA projects with Jillibean Soup
Happy Monday friends! I don't know about you but I'm very happy that January is behind us. The weather here in Canada has been brutal, we've been stuck inside for most of January. I can't wait to shed those layers of clothing and enjoy the warm weather. One good thing about January was CHA and creating projects for the Jillibean Soup booth.
Jillibean Soup released wonderful collections this CHA, Sightseeing Soup, Spicy Social Soup and Birthday Bisque. There are also some new placemats, wood sprinkles, stencil&stamp sets and Beanboard Alphas. Jill and the Jillibean Soup creative minds have outdone themselves, the new lines are amazing!! Thought I'd share my CHA projects in one post, you'll get to see a little bit of all the lines.
In case you didn't know Jillibean Soup is having a DT call. This is seriously one awesome team to design for. I urge you to apply, I can't say enough good things about this awesome company!

Lovely with 2Peas
Today is an exciting day, my first Garden Girl project is up on 2Peas. This week's assignment was Capture: our everyday story, which is one of my favourite topic for inspiration. The everyday moments that make up our lives, that we treasure and want to remember.
Here are some preview of my project, the full layout can be seen here on the 2peas blog, hope you will stop by to see the full layout.
To create my layout I used the latest Amy Tangerine collection which is already available in the 2Peas store. The fabulous script words and thickers are my favourite. The colour palette is so very versatile, working with this collection was so much fun. Thanks to everyone that has been encouraging me and leaving comments, you girls are the best!!!

Remember with Hip Kit
Hello friends! The layout I'm sharing with you today was created for Hip Kit club using the December kit. The girls are so very sweet together and have the most awesome love/hate relationship! I hope they will always remain such great partners in crime.
This layout is rather simple in design, it's all about layers and more layers. I didn't really have a plan when I started I just decided to layer papers, 3x4 cards, cut files and this is the end result. I added a bit of stitch with sequins accents. The misted effect on the background paper was perfect, wish all the collections had pattern paper like this, it would certainly save me a step. ;)

Oh Dear with Hip Kits
Have you seen the December Hip Kit? The colour palette is right up my alley, lots of greys, teals and pinks. Lots of B side papers that can be used instead of white cardstock and an assortment of embellishments that is unbelievable. This was the perfect last kit for me, it's like Kimberly was designing it with me in mind. LOL!!
The Oh Dear card was the inspiration for this layout, I created my layout around it. Love the splash of colour is brings to my page. The snowflakes paper is bold but still muted enough to use as background paper, which I love. Sometimes its nice to use something other than white cardstock.
The white pennant banner was embossed with white Zing embossing powder (which is part of the add on kits). I really wanted a nice white glossy surface so I embossed it 3 times. Then I decided to take a chance and stamp directly on it (once it was glued on my lo) I'm so happy it worked out, I used Prima's Chalk Ink. Hope you've enjoyed the little bits of information for this layout.
Just a reminder that Hip Kit is having a DT call, all the details are below. Make sure to apply!!!

Story with Chic Tags and Epiphany Crafts
I'm back today to share my second layout for the Chic Tags and Epiphany Crafts collaboration. All the details are in the blog post below.
On this layout I decided to use the epoxy banners that I created with the Epiphany Tool as arrows, I paired them with the rub on arrows from the Happy Place collection. I also used the punch portion of the tool to make the banner at the top of the teal paper. This is one fun little tool to play with.
The title was created with my Cameo using a font called SP Purkage, I downloaded this font years ago when cutting out titles with an exacto knife was all the rage. The journaling was done with my electric typewriter, this is another reason why I love this smaller format, I can put the journaling directly on my cardstock. Thank you to Epiphany Crafts for providing this fun little tool.

Silly with Chic Tags and Epiphany Crafts
First of all, I want to start this post by thanking each one of you that took time to leave me a comment about my recent addition to the 2Peas DT as a GG. I can't tell you how much your love and support means to me.
Today I'm sharing a layout I created for the Chic Tags and Epiphany Crafts collaboration. All this week the Chic Tags DT has showcased Epiphany Crafts products on their layouts and Epiphany Crafts DT worked with Chic Tags products, I just love these kind of collaboration. It's inspiring to see the work that everyone creates with these amazing products. You can see the collaboration here; Chic Tags Blog and Epiphany Blog.
I was working with the banner pennant Epiphany tool, it was my first time working with this tool and I really enjoyed it. It's very user friendly, creates these adorable epoxy banners, you can even use the punch on it's own. Lot's of options.
My layout features the Happy Place collection, I wanted to create a fun layout to compliment the picture of A, so I decided to take out the moulding paste and just play. I layered the picture with papers, velum and tags. I did add the Photo Op tag to balance the picture and create a focus area for embellishments.
I want to talk about this Mister Huey stain. I had posted about it on IG (if you want to follow me I'm melblackburn05) and asked people what they thought of the stain. I had a mix of responses from keep it to hide it. Well I decided to embrace the mess, I worked around the stain, I added the pennants in a fun way layered on top of the moulding paste triangles and I really enjoyed the end result.
To paint the triangles I simply used watercolors with a very fine brush. I waited for the paster to be completely dry before applying the paint. This is just another way to add a little touch to the white triangles.

Today with Hip Kit
Today I'm sharing a layout that I created for Hip Kit club using the November kit. Even though the November kit was Christmas theme, some of the papers and embellishments work very well for a non-themed layout.
I prefer using a white background but I do love this shade of Kraft paper by American Crafts. It coordinated very well with my picture and my choice of pattern paper. I did add some stitching around the edges, it just adds a fun whimsical touch to the layout.
