Silly with Chic Tags and Epiphany Crafts

First of all, I want to start this post by thanking each one of you that took time to leave me a comment about my recent addition to the 2Peas DT as a GG. I can't tell you how much your love and support means to me.

Today I'm sharing a layout I created for the Chic Tags and Epiphany Crafts collaboration. All this week the Chic Tags DT has showcased Epiphany Crafts products on their layouts and Epiphany Crafts DT worked with Chic Tags products, I just love these kind of collaboration. It's inspiring to see the work that everyone creates with these amazing products. You can see the collaboration here; Chic Tags Blog and Epiphany Blog.

I was working with the banner pennant Epiphany tool, it was my first time working with this tool and I really enjoyed it. It's very user friendly, creates these adorable epoxy banners, you can even use the punch on it's own. Lot's of options.

My layout features the Happy Place collection, I wanted to create a fun layout to compliment the picture of A, so I decided to take out the moulding paste and just play. I layered the picture with papers, velum and tags. I did add the Photo Op tag to balance the picture and create a focus area for embellishments.

I want to talk about this Mister Huey stain. I had posted about it on IG (if you want to follow me I'm melblackburn05) and asked people what they thought of the stain. I had a mix of responses from keep it to hide it. Well I decided to embrace the mess, I worked around the stain, I added the pennants in a fun way layered on top of the moulding paste triangles and I really enjoyed the end result.

To paint the triangles I simply used watercolors with a very fine brush. I waited for the paster to be completely dry before applying the paint. This is just another way to add a little touch to the white triangles.

I love this beyond words Mel. Such cool style you have girl. And that stain...if it were me I just know it would bug me to no end, that I wouldn't be able to see past it. But when I saw your lo on the ct blog I thought how awesome it looked. I had no idea it was an error. Love that you kept it. Now...how to replicate it for myself? lol
