I created this layout using the Happy Place  and Good Tidings collections by Chic Tags paired with Maya Road chipboard words, hearts, stickers and ampersand clip. I wanted to created a fun grid pattern with all the bits and pieces of papers that I had preciously kept.

I was having so much fun I decided to create a quick card using a Chic Tags tag and label, which I paired with MR chipboard word, wood ruler and felt flower.

Hope you'll check out the CT and MR blog, I know the DTs have created some amazing projects and there just might be a fun giveaway!

Love This Life with Chic Tags

TGIF friends! Today's layout was created for Chic Tags using mostly the Happy Place collection. I trimmed the pattern paper to 8.5x11, I was still able to keep the fun distressing edges and splatters.  I added some layers and a bit of dimension using October Afternoon chipboard frames and borders. This turned out to be a fun layout, she like my girls.

#UROCK with Chic Tags

Hello friends! I'm up on the Chic Tags blog today with a fun layout that I created with the exclusive December kit. Although this kit is sold out, the exclusive Jan kit is still available in the store, make sure to check it out here - Chic Tags store.

This layout came together in about 40 minutes, it's a new record for me!!!! The design is rather simple, 2 of the 4x6 cards and one 3x4 card. Afterwards it was simply a matter of layering the die cuts until I was happy with the result.

In case you needed more enabling to check out the Jan kit, here it is. I know quantities are limited so I wouldn't wait too long!! ;)

Story with Chic Tags and Epiphany Crafts

I'm back today to share my second layout for the Chic Tags and Epiphany Crafts collaboration. All the details are in the blog post below.

On this layout I decided to use the epoxy banners that I created with the Epiphany Tool as arrows, I paired them with the rub on arrows from the Happy Place collection. I also used the punch portion of the tool to make the banner at the top of the teal paper. This is one fun little tool to play with.

The title was created with my Cameo using a font called SP Purkage, I downloaded this font years ago when cutting out titles with an exacto knife was all the rage. The journaling was done with my electric typewriter, this is another reason why I love this smaller format, I can put the journaling directly on my cardstock.  Thank you to Epiphany Crafts for providing this fun little tool.

Silly with Chic Tags and Epiphany Crafts

First of all, I want to start this post by thanking each one of you that took time to leave me a comment about my recent addition to the 2Peas DT as a GG. I can't tell you how much your love and support means to me.

Today I'm sharing a layout I created for the Chic Tags and Epiphany Crafts collaboration. All this week the Chic Tags DT has showcased Epiphany Crafts products on their layouts and Epiphany Crafts DT worked with Chic Tags products, I just love these kind of collaboration. It's inspiring to see the work that everyone creates with these amazing products. You can see the collaboration here; Chic Tags Blog and Epiphany Blog.

I was working with the banner pennant Epiphany tool, it was my first time working with this tool and I really enjoyed it. It's very user friendly, creates these adorable epoxy banners, you can even use the punch on it's own. Lot's of options.

My layout features the Happy Place collection, I wanted to create a fun layout to compliment the picture of A, so I decided to take out the moulding paste and just play. I layered the picture with papers, velum and tags. I did add the Photo Op tag to balance the picture and create a focus area for embellishments.

I want to talk about this Mister Huey stain. I had posted about it on IG (if you want to follow me I'm melblackburn05) and asked people what they thought of the stain. I had a mix of responses from keep it to hide it. Well I decided to embrace the mess, I worked around the stain, I added the pennants in a fun way layered on top of the moulding paste triangles and I really enjoyed the end result.

To paint the triangles I simply used watercolors with a very fine brush. I waited for the paster to be completely dry before applying the paint. This is just another way to add a little touch to the white triangles.

Fa La La with Chic Tags

With Christmas just around the corner I am more than ever inspired to create Christmas themed layouts. Today I'm sharing a layout I created for Chic Tags which features the Good Tidings collection. This layout is for our Sunday Sketch challenge. Ashley has created another stunning layout, it was a blast to play along. All the details are on the Chic Tags blog.

The sketch features a banner along the bottom of the pictures, I decided to use the photo toppers from the Good Tidings collection to create the banner. I find that adding more details such as snowflakes, sequins and stars, always make things more interesting.

I used white Mister Huey to add splatters to the woodgrain but in doing so I made a mess and it didn't look right. So I used the wonderful gold star rub-ons from the Good Tidings collection to hide my mess, in the end it worked out.

Noel with Chic Tags

Happy Friday! I'm up on the Chic Tags blog today (link to the left) with a layout using the Good Tidings collection. I really can't get enough of this fabulous collection. The tags are one of my favourite accents in this collection, I really enjoyed creating the velum pocket with the sequins (I elaborate on this on the Chic Tags blog).

Christmas Cheer with Chic Tags

Hello friends! I have a layout up on the Chic Tags blog today. It features the awesome gold star rub-ons and the Good Tiding collection, which I love!!!

I love layers, that's no secret, for this layout I created my layers using the accents from the Good Tidings collection, the possibilities and options are endless. I had to stop myself because I could have easily kept on going and well, it would have been too much. LOL!

Here is a preview of the details with the rub-ons, more details and information is posted on the Chic Tags blog ----> right here.

Did you know that Christmas is only 37days away?!

Highlights with Chic Tags

Happy Sunday friends! I have a layout up on the Chic Tag blog today for the Sunday sketch challenge. I really enjoyed the design of the sketch but made some slight adjustments so it would fit a 81/2 x 11 format. Yep, I'm trying to scrap this smaller size. Love that I can journal with my typewriter directly on the cardstock and for some reason, my layouts come together much more quickly.

To create this layout I used the Happy Place collection, how i love this latest release by CT. The colours, the greeting on the die cuts and the overall theme of the paper just makes me happy!!! The title was cut with my Cameo and is super easy to do. Just pick the font you like, type out the word and using the "weld" option connect all the letters together. Just love the larger size of this title.

Hope you will play along with us, all the details are on the CT blog
